Apoera

Apoera, also Apura, is a town in western Suriname. It is the final destination of the Southern East-West Link. 15 miles north-west on the other side of the Courantyne River lies the Guyanese village of Orealla. In the framework of the IIRSA project on the upgrading of the road between Ciudad Guayana, San Martín de Turumbang, Linden, Apoera and Paramaribo, a bridge spanning the Courantyne River is planned near Apoera.

Westelijke Polders is a resort in Suriname, located in the Nickerie District. Its population at the 2004 census was 9,046. Its Dutch placename (in English 'western polders') reflects Suriname's colonial past. Its western boundary is the Courantyne River, between Suriname and Guyana.

Orealla

Orealla (or Orealla Mission) is an American Indian community in the East Berbice-Corentyne Region of Guyana, on the Courantyne River, approximately 33 miles south of Crabwood Creek and 11 miles north of Epira, located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:5|17|50|N|57|20|50|W|region:GY_type:city | |name= }}, altitude 11 metres. 15 miles south-east on the other side of the Courantyne River lies the Surinamese village of Apoera.

Kabalebo River
