Monastery of Saint Naum

The Monastery of Saint Naum (Macedonian: Манастир „Свети Наум“) is an Eastern Orthodox monastery in the Republic of Macedonia, named after the medieval Saint Naum who founded it. It is situated along Lake Ohrid, 29 kilometres south of the city of Ohrid. The Lake Ohrid area, including St Naum, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Macedonia.

Pllaja e Pusit

Pllaja e Pusit is a mountain peak located in south-eastern Albania. Pllaja e Pusit is 2,288 m high being the highest peak of Mali i Thatë. Pllaja e Pusit is not only the highest peak of Mali i Thatë but also the highest peak of the mountains separating Lake Ohrid and Lake Prespa. To the north - west of Pllaja e Pusit is Lake Ohrid and to the east of this peak is Lake Prespa. One of the largest settlements found near the peak is Liqenas.

Mali i Thatë

Mali i Thatë is a mountain in southeast Albania and a part of it being in southwest of Macedonia (known with the name Galičica and declared a National Park) with the highest altitude of 2287 meters. It borders Lake Prespa in the east, Lake Ohrid in northwest and overlooks the city of Pogradec to the west. It stretches 25 km from north to south and is 8 km wide in its central part.

The District of Pogradec (Albanian: Rrethi i Pogradecit) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania, part of Korçë County. It has a population of 70,575 (2010 estimate), and an area of 725 km². It is in the east of the country, and its capital is Pogradec. The district consists of the following municipalities: Buçimas Çërravë Dardhas Pogradec Proptisht Trebinjë Udënisht Velçan

Devol (Albania)

Devol also Deabolis or Diabolis, was a medieval fortress and bishopric in western Macedonia, located south of Lake Ohrid in what is today the south-eastern corner of Albania. Its precise location is unknown today, but it is thought to have been located by the river of the same name, and on the Roman Via Egnatia road.
