Kilamba

Nova Cidade de Kilamba (Kilamba New City) is a large housing development 30 km (18 miles) from Luanda, the capital city of Angola. It is being built by the China International Trust and Investment Corporation and is largely empty. Kilamba was designed to accommodate 500,000 people and includes 750 eight-storey apartment blocks, over 100 commercial premises and a dozen schools.

Luanda Province

Luanda is a province of Angola. It has an area of 2,418 km² and a population of 5,851,161 in 2012. Luanda is the capital of the province and the country. The urban agglomeration of Luanda grew to englobe all adjoining municipalities, Belas, Cacuao, Cazenga and Viana. Since 2011, Luanda Province is subdivided into seven municipalities which are the original city of Luanda, then Belas, Cacuaco, Cazenga, Icolo e Bengo, Quiçama and Viana. These are again subdivided into 47 Communes (Comunas).

Estádio 11 de Novembro

The Estádio 11 de Novembro is a multi-use stadium in Luanda, Angola. Completed in 2010 ahead of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations, it hosted nine matches during the tournament, including five Group A matches, one group b match, one quarter final, one semi-final, and the final. Its capacity is 50,000. The stadium is named for the date of Angola's independence. The statium is located in Belas municipality at the Expressway surrounding Luanda on the land side.

Cuanza River

The Cuanza River (also spelled Coanza, Kwanzaa, Quanza, Kwanza, or Kuanza) is a river in Angola. It empties into the Atlantic Ocean just south of the nation's capital, Luanda. Rich biodiversity has been found in the Angolan river, according to research reported on the Science and Development Network website. Angola's first biodiversity tally of the Kwanza River has so far found 50 fish species.

Angola International Airport

Angola International Airport is a new major airport currently being built near the Angolan capital of Luanda. Under construction since 2008, it is some 40 km southeast of the city center in the Bom Jesus commune in Ícolo e Bengo municipality in the Bengo Province and is an alternative to the existing Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport. Construction of the new airport is in the hands of a consortium of Chinese companies and Brazilian company Odebrecht.
