Camberwell, New South Wales

Camberwell is a small village just off the New England Highway in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, Australia. It is 196 kilometres north of Sydney and 15 kilometres northwest of Singleton in Singleton Shire. The village has an historic Anglican church, St Clements, which was opened in 1844. The area also has numerous open-cut mining operations. The placename almost certainly refers to Camberwell, a district in London, England.

Ravensworth railway station

Ravensworth was a railway station on the Main North railway line in New South Wales. It opened in 1869, initially as Camberwell, and closed to passenger services in 1975. It was an island platform and was subsequently completely demolished after closure.

Glennies Creek Dam

Glennies Creek Dam is a 67 metres high, concrete faced, rock fill embankment dam located on Glennies Creek near Singleton, New South Wales, Australia. Glennies Creek is a tributary of the Hunter River in the foothills of the Barrington Tops National Park. The lake is up to 16 kilometres long, and has a capacity of 283 000 megalitres. The dam was built primarily to replace water withdrawn from the upper Hunter River for electricity generation.
