Lochinvar, New South Wales

Lochinvar is a small town in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, Australia in Maitland City Council. It is named after Lochinvar, a loch in southern Scotland. The town is mostly built up along the busy New England Highway between the major centres of Maitland and Singleton and is 165 kilometres north of Sydney. Most people in the area work in nearby Maitland or Singleton. There is also a railway station about 2 kilometres away.

Lochinvar railway station

Lochinvar is a railway station on the Main North Line of the Australian state of New South Wales. CityRail operates diesel self-propelled railcars through Lochinvar as part of its Hunter line regional service from Newcastle. It is located approximately 2 km from the town of the same name. Historically, the next outbound station is Allandale, however that station is closed until further notice.

Allandale railway station, New South Wales

Allandale is a former railway station in the Maitland local government area. It is part of CityRail's outer suburban network, on the Main North Line branch of the Hunter Line. It was temporarily closed in 2002 due to the nearby bridge construction, and permanently closed on 9 September 2005, after railway works by the Australian Rail Track Corporation.
