Marong is a town in Victoria, Australia. At the 2001 census, Marong had a population of 393. It is 17 kilometres kilometres to the west of Bendigo. Its local government area is the City of Greater Bendigo. The town is at the junction of the Calder Highway (A79) and the Calder Alternate Highway (A790).

Thubten Shedrup Ling

Thubten Shedrup Ling is the first Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Australia. It is situated near Bendigo, Victoria, and is a member of the International Mahayana Institute of the FPMT. In 1994 Lama Zopa Rinpoche asked Australian Buddhist monk Ven. Thubten Gyatso to establish a monastery on land near Bendigo donated by the family of Mr. Ian Green.

Eaglehawk railway station

Eaglehawk is a railway station on the Swan Hill railway line in the Bendigo suburb of Eaglehawk, Victoria, Australia. The station is located on Hall Street and has a disused goods shed and crane. Eaglehawk is the terminus for some V/Line Bendigo line trains and is also the junction for the freight-only Eaglehawk - Inglewood line, which connects to the Robinvale and Kulwin lines.

Borough of Eaglehawk

The Borough of Eaglehawk was a local government area which covered the northwestern suburbs of the regional city of Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. The borough covered an area of 14.54 square kilometres, and existed from 1862 until 1994. It was first incorporated as a borough on 29 July 1862. It had nine councillors who represented the entire borough.

Long Gully, Victoria

Long Gully is a suburb of the regional city of Bendigo in Victoria, Australia 3 kilometres north-west of the Bendigo central business district. At the 2006 census, Long Gully had a population of 3,289. Long Gully is a working-class suburb of Bendigo, featuring many older style fibro houses, punctuated by well-established light industry. The suburb is the location of the Bendigo RSL club, in Havilah Road. Long Gully was heavily affected by the Black Saturday bushfires, causing one death.
