Black Flag, Western Australia

Black Flag is an abandoned town in Western Australia 30 km north west of Kalgoorlie It is on the Black Flag to Ora Banda Road in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. The town derives its name from the Black Flag gold find that was discovered in 1893 when a prospector, R. H Henning pegged the lease. The mine was producing and attracting more miners to the area in 1894, the town was gazetted in 1897.

Gudarra, Western Australia

Gudarra is an abandoned town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. It is situated between Kalgoorlie and Menzies off the Goldfields Highway. Gold was initially discovered in the area in 1892, with the place first called the Sore Foot Rush, as a result of the limping prospectors who arrived on news of the discovery. The name of the town was later changed to Paddington and gazetted using that name on 4 February 1897.

Balgarri, Western Australia

Balgarri is an abandoned town in Western Australia, located 45 km north north west of Kalgoorlie It is situated between Black Flag and Ora Banda in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. The towns name is Aboriginal in origin and its meaning is not known. Initially known as Forty Two Mile the town was gazetted as Balgarri in 1898.

Kundana, Western Australia

Kundana is an abandoned town in Western Australia located between Coolgardie and Bardoc in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. After 58 miners petitioned the government to have the townsite declared in 1896 the town was declared the following year. The area was initially known as Barkers Find after the prospector who first found gold in the area, and later was known as 21 mile.
