Moojebing, Western Australia

Moojebing is a locality on the Boyerine Creek in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, southeast of Woodanilling and north north west of Katanning. It is located within the Shire of Katanning. The name Moojebing is an Aboriginal word, believed to be derived from the nearby Moojebup Spring, first recorded under that name in 1874. The meaning of the name is not known, but may be connected with "moodjar" or "muja", the Noongar word for the WA Christmas Tree, Nuytsia floribunda.

Woodanilling, Western Australia

Woodanilling is a small town in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, 254 kilometres south of Perth on the Great Southern Highway, 24 kilometres from Katanning and 30 kilometres from Wagin. The town is in a sheep and grain producing area and was named after a spring in the Boyerine Creek, 1 km south of town. Mallet bark was also exported from the area in large quantities in the 1900s. The area was first explored by Europeans in 1830-31 in expeditions by Captain Thomas Bannister.

The Shire of Woodanilling is a local government area in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, about 30 kilometres south of Wagin and about 260 kilometres south-southeast of the state capital, Perth. The Shire covers an area of 1,129 square kilometres, and its seat of government is the town of Woodanilling.

Katanning Senior High School

Katanning Senior High School is a comprehensive public high school located in Katanning, a regional centre 300 kilometres south east of Perth, Western Australia. The school was established in 1961 and by 2012 had an enrolment of 373 students between Year 8 and Year 12, aprroximately 15% of whom were Aboriginal. The school initially opened as a junior high school in 1950 and continued to operate as one until becoming a high school in 1961.
