Janq'u Qala (Aymara janq'u white, qala stone, "white stone", hispanicized spelling Jankho Khala) is a lake on the western side of the Apolobamba mountain range of Bolivia situated in the La Paz Department, Bautista Saavedra Province, Kurwa Municipality. It lies about 4,489 metres (14,728 ft) above sea level. The lake is about 3.25 km long and 0.47 km at its widest point. Ulla Ulla National Reserve
The Ulla Ulla National Reserve - which today is part of Apolobamba Integrated Management Natural Area - was created in 1972 with an extension of 240,000 ha, a biosphere reserve located in the Franz Tamayo Province, in the Department of La Paz in western Bolivia. The Reserve is on the high Andean plain northwest of the city of La Paz, with an average altitude of over 4000 meters above sea level. Its western border is the political border with Peru.
