In 1991 there were 3,353 residents in the town of Vitina, of which there were 3,245 Croats (97%), 80 Bosniaks (2%), 23 Yugoslavs (1%) and 5 others. Beautiful sunny place with a water spring called Vrilo Vrioštice, with the small river of Vrioštica. Dr. Fr. Častimir Timothy Majić, came from there.
