Krivodol, Bulgaria

Krivodol is a town in northwestern Bulgaria, part of Vratsa Province. It is the administrative centre of Krivodol municipality, which lies in the western part of Vratsa Province, halfway between Vratsa and Montana and 130 kilometres north of Sofia In 1880, Krivodol had a population of 982, in the early 20th century 1,117. Ogosta Stadium

Ogosta Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Montana, Bulgaria. It is currently used for football matches and is the home ground of the local football club PFC Montana. The stadium has a seating capacity of 8,000 spectators. The record attendance of the stadium is 11,500 at a game between PFC Montana and CSKA Sofia. The stadium's name is derived from the river Ogosta, which passes through the town of the club.

Ogosta Reservoir

Ogosta is a lake in the North West of Bulgaria. It is the second largest artificial lake in Bulgaria and The Balkan Peninsula and one of the biggest in Europe. It collects the waters of the rivers Ogosta, Burzia and Zlatitsa and is located about 600 meters to the south-west of the border of Montana city and 60 m. above the level of the city. The water collecting basin is with area of 948 km and the area of the lake itself is 24 hectares.

Gabrovnitsa, Montana Province

Gabrovnitsa is a village in northwestern Bulgaria. It is located in the municipality of Montana in the Montana Province, 13 kilometres from the district center. The Vidin - Sofia railway lines passes through the village. Below the line is the village itself and over the line is the military airport, which is now abandoned. The airport has a single runway. While it was operational, the airport had MiG-21 and MiG-23 aircraft and training fighters.
