Zlatiya (region)

Zlatiya is a small geographic region in Northern Bulgaria. Zlatiya is a low asymmetrical plateau in the northwestern part of the country, a subregion of the Danubian Plain. It lies between three rivers: the Tsibritsa to the west, the Ogosta to the east and the Danube to the north. The plateau's elevation is around 100-150 metres above mean sea level, the highest point reaching 176 m near the Danube.

Lehchevo

Lehchevo (Лехчево) is a village in Boychinovtsi Municipality of Montana Province, northwestern Bulgaria. It has a population of about 2,000 people. It is located on the left bank of the Ogosta river. The only means of transportation linking Lehchevo to other villages and towns nearby is the bus transport system.

Yakimovo

Yakimovo is a village in northwestern Bulgaria, part of Montana Province. It is the administrative centre of Yakimovo Municipality, which lies in the northern part of Montana Province. Yakimovo was formed in the 20th century through the official merger of the neighbouring villages of Progorelets, Kotenovtsi and Voynitsi into one. The village is located in the western Danubian Plain and is crossed by the Tsibritsa river, a tributary of the Danube.

Valchedram

Valchedram (also transliterated Vǎlčedrǎm, Vulchedrum, etc. ) is a town in northwestern Bulgaria, part of Montana Province. It is the administrative centre of Valchedram Municipality, which lies in the northeastern part of Montana Province. As of December 2009, the town has a population of 3,817 inhabitants. Valchedram is located in the western Danubian Plain, near the Tsibritsa and Danube rivers. The first school in Valchedram was founded in 1780.
