Opaka

Opaka is a town in the district of Turgovishte in northeast Bulgaria. As of December 2009, the town had a population of 2,873 and covers an area of 57 km². It is 70 km south of the city of Rousse on the border with Romania and 250 km northeast of the Bulgarian capital, Sofia. Archeologists have found evidence of Thracian, Roman and Slavonic settlements in the area.

Severen tsentralen

Severen Tsentralen is a planning region of Bulgaria, encompassing five Bulgarian provinces: Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Targovishte and Razgrad. The region is mostly inhabited by Bulgarians, Turkish and Romani people. Its largest cities are Ruse (population 175,000), Gabrovo (67,000) and Veliko Tarnovo (100,000, including hinterland). Severen Tsentralen is one of the least developed regions of Europe. Its main economic centre is Ruse, Bulgaria's largest fluvial port.

Dve Mogili

Dve Mogili is a town in northeastern Bulgaria, part of Ruse Province. It is the administrative centre of Dve Mogili Municipality, which lies in the western part of the area. Dve Mogili is located 32 kilometres away from the provincial capital of Ruse. As of December 2009, the town has a population of 4,342 inhabitants. The town's name means "two hills" and is derived from the geographic features of the surrounding area, namely the two hills near the town.

Cherven, Rousse Province

Cherven is a village in northeastern Bulgaria in the Ruse Province. Cherven is situated in the municipality of Ivanovo. As of 2005 the village had 302 inhabitants. The tributary of the river Rusenski Lom, Cherni Lom (meaning Black Lom), divides the village into two parts. One of the most important towns in the Second Bulgarian Empire existed near the village and was also called Cherven.
