It was one of the latest areas to be settled in Bonavista Bay. Bunyan's Cove was first settled by George and Joseph Martin and their mother Elizabeth in the late 19th century.

Camp Starrigan

Camp Starrigan is a Salvation Army camp in Musgravetown, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The largest building on the campgrounds is the multipurpose building, which combines a gymnasium, a stage, and several smaller rooms. In the 2008-2009 fiscal year, Service Canada gave $6214 to Starrigan in order to pay summer camp staff salaries because The Salvation Army is a non-profit organization.
