Tilt Cove

Tilt Cove is a town located southeast of Baie Verte on Notre Dame Bay. The post or Way office was established in 1869. The population was 1,370 in 1901 and 57 by 1956. It has a population of 5 as of 2011. The Queen of Swansea Memorial, which is located in Tilt Cove, was erected in memory of the passengers and crew who perished on Gull Island following the sinking of the vessel the Queen of Swansea. This was the ship which transported copper ore from Tilt Cove to Wales.

Cape St. John

Cape St. John is a headland located on the east coast of the island of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Cape St. John forms the northeastern point of the Baie Verte Peninsula and has a high prominent peak with steep cliffs rising to an elevation of 74m that are reddish in colour. The nearest community to Cape St. John is La Scie.

Round Harbour, Fogo, Newfoundland and Labrador

Round Harbor was a small settlement with only two families in 1864. It was located on Fogo Island, Newfoundland and Labrador. Today there are 22 houses, with four families. There are no schools, stores, medics, police, etc. Residents dispose of their own garbage and have private water sources. There was an Anglican church, with services once a month.
