Nova Scotia Highway 111

Highway 111 is a 13-kilometre controlled access freeway in Nova Scotia, Canada. Highway 111 varies from 4-12 lanes and is known informally as the Dartmouth "Circumferential Highway", or, more recently, "The Circ", since it is a partial orbital road. The highway runs from Pleasant Street in the neighbourhood of Woodside in the south to the A. Murray MacKay Bridge in the north. It serves as a key transportation link for Dartmouth and the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Woodside, Nova Scotia

Woodside is an unincorporated middle income urban community of Dartmouth, within the Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. The community is divided into North Woodside and South Woodside. Woodside is home to two hospitals: the Dartmouth General Hospital and the Nova Scotia Hospital.

Georges Island (Nova Scotia)

Georges Island is a glacial drumlin and the largest island entirely within the harbour limits of Halifax Harbour located in Nova Scotia's Halifax Regional Municipality. The Island is the location of Fort Charlotte - named after King George's wife Charlotte. Fort Charlotte was built during Father Le Loutre's War, a year after Citadel Hill (Fort George). The island is now a National Historic Site of Canada.

Imperoyal, Nova Scotia

Imperoyal is a small neighbourhood on the eastern side of Halifax Harbour in the community of Dartmouth Nova Scotia (part of the Halifax Regional Municipality). The area is mostly taken up by the Imperial Oil Refinery and by petroleum storage and transfer facility owned by Irving Oil Limited. Most of the houses are owned by workers of the oil refinery or by the Canadian Forces in CFB Halifax and nearby Shearwater.

HMCS Sackville (K181)

HMCS Sackville was a Flower-class corvette that served in the Royal Canadian Navy and later served as a civilian research vessel. She is now a museum ship located in Halifax, Nova Scotia and the last surviving Flower-class corvette.
