Richan railway station is located in the community of Richan in Unorganized Kenora District in northwestern Ontario, Canada. The station is on the Canadian National Railway transcontinental main line, between Amesdale to the west and Millidge to the east, has a passing track, and is in use by Via Rail as a stop for transcontinental Canadian trains.

Air Ontario Flight 1363

Air Ontario Flight 1363 was an Air Ontario flight of a Fokker F28-1000 Fellowship which crashed near Dryden, Ontario on March 10, 1989 immediately after take-off en route from Thunder Bay to Winnipeg via Dryden. The aircraft crashed after only 15 seconds because it was not able to achieve enough altitude to clear the trees beyond the end of the runway due to ice and snow on the wings, causing the death of 21 of 65 passengers and 3 of 4 crew members.

Cedar Lake (Kenora District)

Cedar Lake is lake in the Nelson River/Hudson Bay drainage basins in Unorganized Kenora District in northwestern Ontario, Canada. The lake is irregularly-shaped with several large arms. It extends about 12 kilometres east-west and 12.5 kilometres north-south. The primary inflow is an unnamed tributary at the south from Double Lake, and the primary outflow is the Cedar River at the north to Church Lake. The Cedar River flows via the English River, Winnipeg River and Nelson River to Hudson Bay.
