Athens, Ontario

Athens is a township in Eastern Ontario, Canada. It is located approximately 25 km north of the St. Lawrence River, near Brockville, west of Addison, and about 90 km south west of Ottawa. Formerly known as Farmersville. Benoni Wiltse, a United Empire Loyalist, and his brothers settled in this area in 1792.

Athens District High School

Athens District High School or A.D.H. S is a high school under the Upper Canada District School Board. The School is located in the small town of Athens, Ontario. The high school website features many achievements, including winning awards and media competitions, pioneering new systems of education and taking part in extracurricular courses and international student exchanges. The high school has less than 250 students as of 2009/2010.

Brockville Ontario Speedway

The Brockville Ontario Speedway is a 3/8 mile dirt track in the community of Forthton, Ontario, Canada. It is located on County Road 29 about 10 kilometres northwest of Brockville. Commonly known as "The BOS", the track has been running a weekly racing schedule for most summers since 1969. The BOS has also ran Go-Karts on Wednesday nights since 2005. They race on a smaller oval on the infield of the track.

Leeds County

Leeds County is a historic county in the Canadian province of Ontario. The county was created in 1792, and merged with Grenville County in 1850 to create Leeds and Grenville County. The county took its name from Francis Osborne, 5th Duke of Leeds.

Lower Beverley Lake

Lower Beverley Lake is a lake in southeastern Ontario, Canada, originally part of the original survey plan for the Rideau Canal, now just south of the Rideau Canal, separated from the Rideau system by a dam at Morton. Upper and Lower Beverley Lakes were included in the original surveyed plans for the canal in the early 1800 but there would have been insufficient water to maintain the water levels in the summer and so the plans were altered.
