Strange, Ontario

Strange is a hamlet on the western outskirt of King City located in King Township, Ontario, Canada. It is directly north of Laskay, and is a sparsely populated agricultural area. Strange was founded as Williamstown in 1841 with the opening of a general store. In 1854, the community's first post office closed, but another opened on 1 March 1880 through the efforts of Frederick William Strange, from whom the post office and the community took their name.

King City weather radar station

The King City weather radar station (ICAO site identifier CWKR) is a weather radar located in King City, Ontario, Canada. It is operated by Environment Canada and is part of the Canadian weather radar network. The 16.45 hectare site is listed at an elevation of 360 m, and the tower is 27 m tall. Mounted on the tower is a 5 cm weather radar, and a C-band dual-polarization radar system was installed at the site in 2004.

Mary Lake Augustinian Monastery

The Mary Lake Augustinian Monastery, also known as Mary Lake Monastery, Mary Lake Shrine, or simply Mary Lake is an Augustinian monastery in King City, Ontario, Canada. The campus is nearly 1,000 acres, residing on Keele Street, just north of 15th Sideroad (Bloomington). It is part of the Province of Saint Joseph. Mary Lake is the chief foundation of the Augustinians in Canada, and is now well known as a spiritual centre for the Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto.
