East York Collegiate Institute

East York Collegiate Institute is a Toronto high-school located in the former borough of East York at the corner of Coxwell and Cosburn Avenues. Established in 1927, the school was originally known as East York High School, but it soon merged with a local vocational school and extended the building capacity; it gained its current name a decade later.

East York Civic Centre

The East York Civic Centre was the municipal office of the former Borough of East York, Canada, now part of Toronto as the result of municipal amalgamation. The two storey civic buildings, located on the western side of Coxwell Avenue, were completed in 1990, and are currently occupied by a number of municipal departments and services. Since 1998, the offices are no longer in use as council chambers.

Greenwood (TTC)

Greenwood is a station on the Bloor–Danforth line of the Toronto subway system. It is located on the corner of Linnsmore Crescent and Strathmore Boulevard near 1177 Danforth Avenue, one block east of Greenwood Avenue. It was opened in 1966.

Coxwell (TTC)

Coxwell is a station on the Bloor–Danforth line of the subway system in Toronto, Canada. The official address is 1568 Danforth Avenue but the entrance is located on Strathmore Boulevard just east of Coxwell Avenue. It was opened in 1966. This station is used as a switchover point for eastbound subway operators changing their shift, regularly causing a slight delay while the crew is changed.

Leaside Bridge

The Leaside Bridge, formerly the East York Leaside Viaduct, and officially commemorated as the Confederation Bridge, spans the Don River in the City of Toronto, Ontario. The Truss bridge carrying Millwood Road was built to connect the then Town of Leaside to the then Township of East York, and was completed on October 29, 1927. The construction time of only 10 months was record breaking at the time.
