Dominion Timber and Minerals Railway

The Dominion Timber and Minerals Railway was a private standard-gauge railroad that operated in the Laurentian Mountains of Southwestern Quebec, Canada from 1916 to 1981. Owned by Canadian Refractories Limited, the railway's 20km mainline stretched from CRL's magnesite mine in Kilmar, through an extremely rugged mountain route to its final teminus at Marlean.

Weir, Quebec

Weir is an unincorporated village in the municipality of Montcalm, Quebec in the Les Laurentides Regional County Municipality. Weir is served by Quebec Route 364. Argenteuil County is an historic county in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It was located on the Ottawa River between Gatineau and Montreal. The county seat was Lachute. Argenteuil was bounded on the north by Terrebonne County, on the east by Deux-Montagnes County, on the west by Papineau County and on the south by the United Counties of Prescott and Russell in Ontario.

Rouge River (Quebec)

The Rouge River is a river in western Quebec, Canada, which empties into the Ottawa River near Pointe-au-Chêne and flows north of Mont Tremblant. It is located in the Laurentides, about halfway between Ottawa and Montreal. The name is derived from the reddish tint of its sandbanks. The river is a popular destination for whitewater rafting.

Crystal Falls, Quebec

Crystal Falls was a small community that existed mid-way between St. Jovite and Arundel on Route 327 in the province of Quebec, Canada. The community no longer exists but can still be found in the Toponomie Quebec of the province of Quebec. There was a post office, a school, a cheese factory, a combination water-powered grist and sawmill and a Presbyterian Church - Knox Church Crystal Falls.
