Petite-Nation River

The Petite-Nation River is a river in western Quebec, Canada, that flows from the Laurentian mountains to empty into the Ottawa River near Plaisance, Quebec. The river is 97 km in length. This river's French name refers to the Algonquin people that inhabited this region, the Weskarini, which means "people of the little nation". The valley of the Petite-Nation was part of the Seigneury de la Petite-Nation, originally owned by Monsignor François de Laval, the first archbishop of New France.

Papanack Park Zoo

The Papanack Park Zoo is a small zoo in Wendover, Ontario. It opened to the public in 1994 for a one-year trial. It started as a family owned and operated facility breeding exotic animals and birds in the early 1980s. It hosts 36 different species, including snow monkeys, cougars, snow leopard and white lion cubs. These cubs are the offspring of the zoo's African lions although they did not stay white as they grew.

École secondaire Louis-Joseph Papineau

École secondaire Louis-Joseph Papineau is a public francophone high school in the Quebec region of the Outaouais. It is located in the municipality of Papineauville in the Papineau (also called la Petite-Nation) region about 30 kilometres east of the eastern limits of the city of Gatineau along Route 148 and 60 kilometres from downtown Ottawa. It is operated by the Commission scolaire au coeur des Vallees school board.

Cambridge Township, Ontario

Cambridge Township was a township in Ontario, Canada. Along with Clarence Township, Russell Township and Cumberland Township, Cambridge Township was one of the four townships of Russell County. It was created in 1800. It existed for 198 years before becoming part of The Nation Municipality in 1998, during the Eastern Ontario municipal fusions. Major communities in what was Cambridge Township are Limoges and St. Albert.
