Missisquoi County, Quebec

Missisquoi County is a historical county in Quebec. In the early 1980s Quebec abolished its counties. Much of Missisquoi County became the Brome-Missisquoi Regional County Municipality except the southwestern part was transferred to Le Haut-Richelieu Regional County Municipality. The name of the county is derived from an Algonquin Abenaki word meaning "lots of waterfowl".

Rivière-aux-Brochets Ecological Reserve is an ecological reserve in Quebec, Canada. It was established on December 15, 1999. It is situated near the mouth of the Pike River (French: Rivière aux Brochets) in the Brome-Missisquoi Regional County Municipality of the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada. It is partially located in the municipality of Pike River and partially in Saint-Armand.

Highgate Springs-St. Armand/Philipsburg Border Crossing

The Highgate Springs-St. Armand/Philipsburg Border Crossing connects the towns of Philipsburg, Quebec with Highgate Springs, Vermont. It is also the terminus of Interstate 89 and Quebec Route 133. Even before construction of the 4-lane highway, this crossing was on the primary route between Montreal and Boston, MA, because it was where US Route 7 crossed into Canada.

Morses Line Border Crossing

The Morses Line Border Crossing connects the towns of Saint-Armand, Quebec with Franklin, Vermont. In 1871, a proprieter named J. Morse opened a store at this location directly on the US-Canada boundary. A small village grew around it on both sides of the border. In 1935, the US built a border inspection station at Morses Line, and Canada built their border station in 1952. Both buildings are still in use today.
