Lake Saint Pierre

Lake Saint Pierre is a lake in Quebec, Canada, located on the Saint Lawrence River between Sorel-Tracy and Trois-Rivières, downstream and east of Montreal. Including its shoreline, islands, and wetlands, the lake is a nature reserve. The lake is located in the Regional County Municipalities of Nicolet-Yamaska, Maskinongé, D'Autray, and Pierre-De Saurel, in addition to the city of Trois-Rivières.

École nationale de police du Québec

The École nationale de police du Québec (ENPQ) is the training academy for police officers in the Canadian province of Quebec. The academy, located in the city of Nicolet, replaced the Institut de police du Québec in 2000. The academy is administered by the Government of Quebec and has an operating budget of C$30 million, 10% of which are subsidies from the government.

Forges du Saint-Maurice

Forges du Saint-Maurice ("St. Maurice Ironworks"), just outside of Trois-Rivières, Quebec, is a National Historic Site of Canada, and birthplace of the country's iron industry. Forges du Saint-Maurice was created on 25 March 1730, the second company (after the failure of the first) granted a monopoly to employ the iron ore deposits at Trois-Rivières. The forge started working in 1738 and remained in virtually continuous operation until closing.

Yamaska (provincial electoral district)

Yamaska was a provincial electoral district in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada. It was created for the 1867 election (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada and the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada). Its final election was in 1970. It disappeared in the 1973 election and its successor electoral district was Nicolet-Yamaska.

St. Francis Raid

The St. Francis Raid was an attack in the French and Indian War by Robert Rogers and a band of his Rangers on the primarily Abenaki village of St. Francis, near the southern shore of the Saint Lawrence River in what was then the French province of Canada, on October 4, 1759.
