Pi County

Pi County is a county within Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, China. It is located just 10 km north-west of Chengdu's city centre. The seat of the Pixian County Government is located in Pitong Town. Pi County covers an area of 437.5 square kilometres, with a total population of 480,000. Pi County has over 2300 years of history—it was established by the State of Qin two years after it defeated the State of Shu, in 314 BC.

Jinsha (archaeological site)

Jinsha is an archaeological site in Sichuan, China. Located in the Qingyang District of Chengdu Prefecture, Along the Modi River (摸底河. The Jinsha site was accidentally discovered in February 2001 during real estate construction. Located about 50 km away from Sanxingdui, the site flourished around 1000 BCE and shares similarities in burial objects with the Sanxingdui site. Ivory, jade artifacts, bronze objects, gold objects and carved stone objects were found at the site.
