Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center, Guangzhou University Town or Guangzhou University City is an area featured by universities, located in Xiaoguwei Island in Xinzao Town, Panyu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. The station was previously called "Beiting Station" because of nearby Beiting Village on the island. But since May 2006, it changed name to Higher Education Mega Center North Station.

Guanzhou
Guanzhou Island is an island at the southeast of the central district of Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. It has a total area of 1.8 square kilometers. It is administrated by Guanzhou Street in Haizhu District. In 1999, Guangzhou Municipal Government announced plans to develop Guanzhou into Guangzhou International Biology Island, in order to meet the need of biological technology development. Construction began in 2008. There is a metro station in Guanzhou called Guanzhou Station.

Before the station opened, no land transport was provided between Guanzhou Island and Guangzhou urban.
