Soledad is a municipality in the Colombian department of Atlántico part of the metropolitan area of Barranquilla is 6th in population in Colombia and the 3rd in the Caribbean region, after Barranquilla and Cartagena. Pumarejo bridge

The Pumarejo bridge is a bridge in Colombia built over the Magdalena River to connect the Island of Salamanca and the city of Barranquilla. The bridge was named after its promoter Alfonso López Pumarejo. Its construction was finished in 1974. The bridge is 1500 m (4921.25 ft. ) long and 12.50 m (41 ft. ) wide, and is built of concrete.

Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional Ernesto Cortissoz) is located in the municipality of Soledad 12 km from Barranquilla, the capital of the Atlántico department in Colombia. The airport owes its name to one of the pioneers of Colombian aviation, Ernesto Cortissoz. This airport serves as a focus city for Avianca. It is capable of accepting widebodied aircraft such as the Boeing 747, Boeing 767, and Airbus A340.
