Natagaima

Natagaima is a town and municipality in the Tolima department of Colombia, on the shore of the Magdalena River, at 326 meters over the sea level. The population of the municipality was 21,324 as of the 1993 census, and its average temperature is 26 degrees celsius. Natagaima was founded in 1606 by Spanish conqueror Juan de Borja y Armendia.

Tatacoa Desert

The Tatacoa Desert or "Sadness Valley", the second largest arid zone in Colombia after the Guajira Peninsula, is one of the most attractive scenery in Colombia. It occupies 330 square kilometers of land in ocher and gray brushstrokes of green cactus. The Desert Tatacoa has two distinctive colors: ocher in the area of Cuzco and gray in the Los Hoyos.
