Vlhošť

Vlhošť is the highest mountain (614 m) in Kokořínsko area, Czech Republic. It consists of sandstone and phonolite. The phonolite comes from tertiary volcanism while the sandstones are older. Rock terraces are visible. A nature preserve, covering 81,99 ha of its summit and south-western rock cliff, was established in 1998.

Úštěk Synagogue

The Úštěk Synagogue is a synagogue in the small town of Úštěk, located in the northern part of the Czech Republic. The modest, Baroque synagogue of sandstone from a nearby quarry. This current structure was built using shortly after a 1793 fire that destroyed the earlier building. It was in use until the Second World War.
