Høje Taastrup station

Høje Taastrup station is a railway station in Høje-Taastrup municipality, Denmark, opened on 31 May 1986. The station is one of the largest in Denmark. It is the terminus of S-train services B and B+ on the Taastrup radial, and it is serviced by regional and InterCity and even international trains, as well as express bus 400S. At the south end of the railroad station complex stands "Thor's Tower" (Torstårnet), the tallest sculpture in the Nordic countries.

Høje-Taastrup Municipality

Høje-Taastrup Kommune is a municipality in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 78 km² (30 mi²), and has a total population of 47,158 (2008). The mayor of the municipality is Michael Ziegler, a member of the Conservative People's Party (Det Konservative Folkeparti) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Taastrup.

Kroppedal

Kroppedal Museum in Denmark, 20 km from Copenhagen, was established in 2003. Kroppedal is the national museum of Danish astronomy, has a large archaeological unit, and an ethnological unit specializing in modern society. The museum has a permanent exhibition centred around the famous astromer and engineer Ole Rømer (1644-1710), and its collections include his only surviving pendulum clock.

Aastrup

Five villages in Denmark are named Aastrup (Åstrup in the post-1948 Danish Orthography) including Aastrup, Falster. The name means "village by a stream" in English. As in many of the names of small Danish villages and towns, Aastrup is also a surname (though not very common). Aastrup (or Åstrup) as a surname implies ancestry from one of the villages.
