Aarup

Aarup (or Årup) is the name of several localities in Denmark and Sweden. The largest is Aarup, - a town in central Denmark with a population of 3,014 (1 January 2011), located in Assens municipality on the island of Funen in Region of Southern Denmark. This Aarup can trace its history back to 1500, but it would be 1860's before it would become a town. Until 1966 it was located in Skydebjerg-Orte municipality.

Aarup Municipality

Before the Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007), Aarup municipality was a municipality in Fyns Amt on the island of Funen in central Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 81 km², and had a total population of 5,480 (2005). Its latest mayor was Lars Kristian Pedersen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party.

Ejby is a small railway town in Middelfart Municipality. It lies between Odense station and Middelfart station, on the island of Funen, Region of Southern Denmark, Denmark. It has a population of 1,978 (1 January 2011). Until 1 January 2007, Ejby was the municipal seat of the former Ejby Municipality.

Ejby Municipality

Until 1 January 2007, Ejby municipality was a municipality in Funen County on the north and west coasts of the island of Funen in southern Denmark. The municipality included the island of Brandsø, covered an area of 163 km², and had a total population of 10,046 (2005). Its last mayor was Claus Hansen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Ejby.
