The Canton of Nontron is a canton of the Dordogne département, in France. Tabataud Quarry

The Tabataud Quarry (sometimes also written Tabateaud) was situated in the northwestern French Massif Central. The quarry used to be mined for its granodiorite. The Tabataud Quarry was excavated along the left bank of the river Bandiat at an elevation of 165 meters, only about one kilometer southeast of Nontron town center. Nearby passes the D 707 from Nontron to Saint-Pardoux-la-Rivière, from which it is easily accessible.

Cantonnier Lode

The Cantonnier lode formed in the Piégut-Pluviers Granodiorite, part of the basement rocks of the northwestern French Massif Central. Its importance is highlighted by very rare mineral parageneses.

Lizonne

The Lizonne, also called Nizonne, is a 60.5 km long river in the Dordogne and Charente départements, southwestern France. Its source is near Morelière, a hamlet in Sceau-Saint-Angel. It flows generally southwest. It is a right tributary of the Dronne into which it flows between Saint-Séverin and Allemans. Part of its course forms part of the border between the Dordogne and Charente départements.
