Notre Dame des Cyclistes

The chapel of Notre-Dame des Cyclistes is situated in the commune of Labastide-d'Armagnac in Les Landes département in Aquitaine, France. The chapel is all that remains of a 12th century fortress of the Knights Templar. The Château de Géou was razed by the Black Prince in 1355. It was listed as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture on 27 February 1996.

Château de Fondat

The Château de Fondat is a château in the French commune of Saint-Justin, in Landes, Aquitane, France. It was built in the Neo-Renaissance style in the 17th century, and became classified as a National Heritage Site of France, a Monument historique, on 31st March 1999.

Gascony

Gascony is an area of southwest France that was part of the "Province of Guyenne and Gascony" prior to the French Revolution. The region is vaguely defined and the distinction between Guyenne and Gascony is unclear; sometimes they are considered to overlap, and sometimes Gascony is considered a part of Guyenne. Most definitions put Gascony east and south of Bordeaux. It is currently divided between the Aquitaine région and the Midi-Pyrénées région.

Guyenne

Guyenne or Guienne is a vaguely defined historic region of south-western France. The Province of Guyenne, sometimes called the Province of Guyenne and Gascony, was a large province of pre-revolutionary France. The name Guyenne comes from the Occitan Guiana, which is itself a corruption of the word Aquitaine. However the words Aquitaine and Guyenne came to indicate different entities.
