Vix Grave

Valliscaulian Order

The Valliscaulian Order was a religious order of the Roman Catholic Church, so named after "Vallis Caulium", or "Val-des-Choux", its first monastery, in Burgundy. It was founded at the end of the twelfth century and lasted until its absorption by the Cistercians in the eighteenth century.

Château de Chacenay

The Château de Chacenay is a castle situated in the commune of Chacenay, in the Aube département of France. Recorded since 1075, it was the fief of numerous great families over the years. Construction of the castle began in the 13th century. Sited at the heart of a forest, in the Middle Ages it formed an impregnable fortress thanks to its ramparts, keep (now destroyed), ditches, drawbridge and towers.
