Château de Rustéphan

The Château de Rustéphan is a small, ruined 15th-16th century manor-house in the Finistère département of France. It is located in the small rural town of Nizon, near Pont-Aven. It was erected by Jean Du Faou, chamberlain of France and grand seneschal of Brittany, who built the domaine in 1420.

Ellé

The Ellé is a river in the region of Brittany, western France. Its source is south of the town Rostrenen, in the south-west of the department Côtes-d'Armor. The Ellé flows southwest through the following départements and towns: Côtes-d'Armor Morbihan: Le Faouët Finistère: Quimperlé At the town of Quimperlé it is joined by the Isole to form the Laïta that flows into the Atlantic Ocean at Le Pouldu.

The river Isole flows through the department of Finistère in the region of Brittany in France. Its source is near Roudouallec. Another town on the Isole is Scaër. At the town of Quimperlé it is joined by the Ellé to form the Laïta that flows into the Atlantic Ocean at Le Pouldu.

Montagnes Noires

Not to be confused with the Montagne Noire of Languedoc-Rousillon The Montagnes Noires, also known as the Montagne Noire and in Breton as Meneziou Du are an east-west oriented range of hills in Brittany centred around the town of Gourin. They culminate in the peak of Roc de Toullaeron which attains a height of either 318m or 326m. Other significant peaks include Ar Menez (304m) and Montagne Noir (307m) .

Aven (river)

The Aven is a natural watercourse on the south coast of Brittany, France. (Atlas, 2007) Its source is near Coray. It flows in a generally southerly direction through Rosporden and Pont-Aven before discharging into the Atlantic Ocean at the seaside resort Port Manec'h, part of Névez. Paul Gauguin spent some of his life living in the town of Pont-Aven, where he enjoyed painting scenes by the River Aven.
