Arboretum d'Élan

The Arboretum d'Élan is a small arboretum located in Élan, Ardennes, Champagne-Ardenne, France. It is open daily without charge. The arboretum was established by the Office National des Forêts (National Forestry Office) near the Chapelle Saint-Roger, an 18th century chapel built to honor the founder of Élan Abbey (established 1148).

Bar (river)

The Bar is a river in the Ardennes department, northern France, left tributary of the river Meuse. Its source is near Buzancy, in the southern part of the Ardennes department. It flows through Brieulles-sur-Bar, Tannay, Chémery-sur-Bar and Cheveuges. It flows into the Meuse in Vrigne-Meuse, west of Sedan. For much of its length the river flows parallel to the Canal des Ardennes.

Arboretum de Vendresse

The Arboretum de Vendresse, also known as the Arboretum du Bois de la Vierge, is an arboretum located in Vendresse, Ardennes, Champagne-Ardenne, France. It is open daily without charge. The arboretum was established in 1912 by histologist Paul Bouin (1870–1962). It is located near the ruins of the Château de la Cassine, home of Louis of Gonzaga and Henriette de Clèves, and accessible from the path of the Bois de la Vierge.

Gare de Charleville-Mézières

Gare de Charleville-Mézières is a railway station serving the town Charleville-Mézières, Ardennes department, northeastern France. TGV trains run to Paris as well as regular local services to Reims. Prior to the opening of the LGV Est between Paris and Strasbourg in 2007 two trains a day used to run in each direction between Gare de Lille Flandres and the Gare de Metz-Ville.

UNIMA

UNIMA (Union Internationale de la Marionnette - International Puppetry Association) was founded in Prague in 1929 (the then Czechoslovak magazine Loutkář was UNIMA's first official journal in years 1929-1930). In 1981, Jacques Felix moved UNIMA's headquarters to Charleville-Mézières, France. UNIMA is affiliated to UNESCO and it is a member of the International Theatre Institute.
