Bellevaux Abbey

This article is not about the Bellevaux Abbey near Limanton, Nièvre, France, nor the abbey near Lausanne, Switzerland Bellevaux Abbey was a Cistercian monastery, founded in 1120 by Pons de Morimond, near the present-day Cirey, Haute-Saône, France. At that time it was in Franche-Comté. It was suppressed in 1790 and sold in 1791. Shortly afterwards the church was demolished. 1795 the buildings were bought by Jean-Charles Pichegru. It was a daughter house of Morimond Abbey.

Scey

The Scey is a 20.4 km river that traverses the Doubs and Haute-Saône departments in the Franche-Comté region in eastern France. It rises in Marvelise and flows generally west to join the Ognon in Villersexel. Its tributaries include the Rognon.

Château d'Oricourt

The Château d'Oricourt is a castle in the commune of Oricourt in the département of Haute-Saône, in the Franche-Comté region of France. The original castle on the site was a feudal motte built in wood. The present castle was built during the 12th century on the edge of a plateau, facing the Lure plain, the Château d'Oricourt is a double-walled castle. The outer wall enclosed the farm and the inner wall the residential courtyard.

Rognon (river)

The Rognon is an 18.8 km river in Haute-Saone department, eastern France. It rises in Magny-Danigon and flows generally southwest to join the Scey in Beveuge. Its tributaries include the Clairegoutte and the Fau.
