1973 Paris Air Show crash

The 1973 Paris Air Show crash was the crash of the second production Tupolev Tu-144 at Goussainville, Val-d'Oise, France, which killed all six crew and a further eight people on the ground. The crash, at the Paris Air Show on 3 June 1973, damaged the development program of the Tupolev Tu-144. One theory is that a French Mirage jet sent to photograph the aircraft without the knowledge of the Russian crew caused the pilots to take evasive maneuvers, resulting in the crash.

Château Mont-Royal

The Château Mont-Royal is a French chateau in La Chapelle-en-Serval, Oise, built for Fernand Halphen by the architect Guillaume Tronchet. It was to offer his wife a view which enchanted her, he said, that Fernand Halphen bought the house at la Chapelle-en-Serval, near Chantilly (Oise) and decided in 1908 to erect a country house in a wooded valley there, which became known as the Château Mont-Royal.

Lufthansa CityLine Flight 5634

The accident happened on 6 January 1993 when Lufthansa Cityline Flight 5634 was on a flight from Bremen Airport to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport in France. The Dash 8-311 registration D-BEAT with 23 passengers and crew took off from Bremen Airport at 17:30. When Flight 5634 was nearing Paris a Korean Air Boeing 747 burst a tyre on landing and the runway was closed down for a short while.

Goudurix

Goudurix is a steel roller coaster located Parc Astérix in France. The Vekoma built ride jointly held the world record for the greatest number of inversions upon its opening in 1989. The record was lost in 1995 to Dragon Khan in Spain. It is one of only two coasters in the world (the other being Ninja at Six Flags over Georgia) to feature a butterfly element. In 2007, theming was added to the station in the form of a wooden Viking boat.
