Château Saint-Sixte

The Château Saint-Sixte is a 12th century castle in the commune of Freistroff in the Moselle département of France. The Château Saint-Sixte stands on a small plain between Freistroff and Rémelfang. It was built in the 12th century by the seigneur Wirich de Valcourt. During the Renaissance, it was transformed into a residence and was altered again in the 18th century. It was saved from ruin by the Gehl family in 1986.

Villers-Bettnach Abbey

Villers-Bettnach Abbey is a former Cistercian abbey in the commune of Saint-Hubert in the Moselle department, France. The monastery site is about 22 kilometres north-east of Metz, in the valley of the little River Canner, and was classed as a monument historique on 28 March 1905.

The Longwave transmitter Europe 1 is the oldest privately owned radio station in Germany, situated between Felsberg and Berus/Saar, Germany. It transmits with a power of 2000 kilowatts a French speaking programme, Europe 1 toward France. It is the largest radio broadcasting transmitter in Germany.

Nied

The Nied is a river in Lorraine, France, and Saarland, Germany,that is the left tributary of the Saar River. It is formed where two streams converge, the Nied allemande ("German Nied") and the Nied française ("French Nied"), which join in Condé-Northen. The "Nied française" is the bigger of the two, with a length of 59 km, and its source is near Morhange. Another town on the "Nied française" is Pange.
