Château de Salignac

The Château de Salignac is the former castle of the Salignac-Fénelon family in the commune of Salignac-Eyvigues in the Dordogne département of France. It dates from the 12th-16th centuries. It has been classified since 1969 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.

Manor d'Eyrignac

The Manor d'Eyrignac is a 17th century manor house in Salignac-Eyvigues, in the Dordogne department of France, surrounded by a recreated 18th century Italian Renaissance garden and an elaborate topiary garden. The house is sited on top of a hill, with water coming from seven springs. Only a pavilion, fountains and basins remain from the original 18th century garden.

Uxellodunum

Uxellodunum is an iron age hill fort, or oppidum, located above the river Dordogne near the modern-day French village of Vayrac in the Lot department. This stronghold lay within the lands of the Cadurci tribe. According to Aulus Hirtius in his addendum to Julius Caesar's Commentaries on the Gallic War, the last revolt against Rome's authority in Gaul occurred here, and was brutally punished.

Alzou (Ouysse)

The Alzou is a short river in the Lot département, southern France, a right tributary of the Ouysse. It flows through the town Rocamadour, and joins the Ouysse, itself a left tributary of the Dordogne, downstream of Rocamadour. The valleys of both the Alzou and the Ouysse are deep limestone canyons.
