Lavaur Cathedral

Lavaur Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Alain de Lavaur) is a former Roman Catholic cathedral, and national monument of France, located in the town of Lavaur, Tarn. Until the French Revolution this was the seat of the diocese of Lavaur now held by the Archbishop of Albi. The cathedral is dedicated to Saint Alan of Lavaur. The present structure dates from the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries, and has an octagonal bell-tower.

Château de Padiès

The Château de Padiès is a mansion built on the site of a former castle, located in the outskirts of the village of Lempaut in the département of Tarn in southern France. The Château de Padiès is a unique Renaissance château complex set in the Lauragais, the land of Pastel — the Pays de Cocaigne — Cathar country and the land of the Troubadours. The Lauragais has often been likened to Tuscany, to where the blue “pastel” produced from the woad grown here was exported in the 15th century.

Château de Cambiac

The Château de Cambiac is a 15th century castle in the commune of Cambiac in the Haute-Garonne département of France. Originally a vast 15th century residence, it was probably constructed on the foundations of an earlier structure. It was given to the sieur Milhau, constable of Montauban, by Marguerite de Navarre. At the end of the 19th century, massive restoration works gave the castle an extra floor and a pavilion. A Louis XII style was incorporated both inside and out.

Jardins des Martels

The Jardins des Martels (3.5 hectares) is a commercial botanical garden and flower park located in Giroussens, Tarn, Midi-Pyrénées, France. It is open daily in the warmer months; an admission fee is charged. The gardens were created by Marie-Thérèse and André Reynier in the late 1960s, as a private garden on their farm, and after considerable development opened to the public in 1994.

Château de Saint-Félix-Lauragais

The Château de Saint-Félix-Lauragais is a castle in the commune of Saint-Félix-Lauragais in the Haute-Garonne département of France. The castle was originally constructed in the 11th century. The first Synod of the Cathar church, known as the Council of Saint-Félix was held there in 1167. In the 14th century, the castle was transformed into a country house by a brother of Pope John XXII. The complex includes buildings from the 13th to the 18th centuries.
