Interesting facts about this location
Château de Cambiac
The Château de Cambiac is a 15th century castle in the commune of Cambiac in the Haute-Garonne département of France. Originally a vast 15th century residence, it was probably constructed on the foundations of an earlier structure. It was given to the sieur Milhau, constable of Montauban, by Marguerite de Navarre. At the end of the 19th century, massive restoration works gave the castle an extra floor and a pavilion. A Louis XII style was incorporated both inside and out.

Château de Padiès
The Château de Padiès is a mansion built on the site of a former castle, located in the outskirts of the village of Lempaut in the département of Tarn in southern France. The Château de Padiès is a unique Renaissance château complex set in the Lauragais, the land of Pastel — the Pays de Cocaigne — Cathar country and the land of the Troubadours. The Lauragais has often been likened to Tuscany, to where the blue “pastel” produced from the woad grown here was exported in the 15th century.

Bassin de Saint-Ferréol
The Bassin de Saint-Ferréol was created as the result of a large earth dam across the mouth of the valley of Laudot stream at St. Ferréol in the Montagne Noire. It was originally proposed by Chevalier de Clerville and accepted by Pierre Paul Riquet as an integral part of the Canal du Midi. Riquet needed to provide a sufficient water reservoir to allow the locks to function year round, even in the dry summer season. The dam was begun on 15 April 1667 and was completed in four years.

Château de Vallègue
The Château de Vallègue is a mediaeval castle in the commune of Vallègue in the Haute-Garonne département of France. The castle is the best preserved part of the ancient fortified village, mentioned since 1273 as a royal possession. It was sold several times during the 19th century.
