Tettnang Castle

Tettnang Castle - usually referred to as Tettnang New Castle (Neues Schloss) - is one of three castles in the German town of Tettnang. Originally a fort stood on the site of the New Castle. From 1260 under 1780 it was the residence of the Counts of Montfort. The old fort was destroyed in the Thirty Years War in 1633.

Eurobike

Eurobike is an international exhibition around the bicycle and is held annually since 1991 in the first week of September, on the grounds of Messe Friedrichshafen, one of the largest and most modern exhibition centres in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. The bike show is from Wednesday to Saturday for trade visitors. On Saturday its open to the public day – then the fair is also open for private visitors.

The Battle of Möerskirch was fought on 5 or 15 May 1800, between France and Austria. The French were led by Jean Victor Marie Moreau, and they were victorious. Austrian forces were under General Kray.

Weissenau Abbey

Weissenau Abbey was an Imperial abbey (Reichsabtei) of the Holy Roman Empire located near Ravensburg in the Swabian Circle. The abbey, a Premonstratensian monastery, was an Imperial Estate and therefore its abbot had seat and voice in the Reichstag as a prelate of the Swabian Bench. The abbey existed from 1145 until the secularisation of 1802-1803.
