Damme Priory

Damme Priory (Priorat St. Benedikt, Damme) is a Benedictine priory dependent on Münsterschwarzach Abbey, and is situated at Kemphausen in Damme in the district of Vechta in Lower Saxony, Germany. In December 1962 monks from Münsterschwarzach settled in Kemphausen at the farm of the Kophanke family, the last member of whom (Fräulein Maria Kophanke) wished the property to be used for monastic purposes. From 1970 to 1983 the community had a small boarding-school and now run a guest-house.

Dümmer Nature Park

The Dümmer Nature Park in North Germany is located in the Lower Saxon districts of Diepholz and Vechta and the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Minden-Lübbecke. It is about 34 kilometres northeast of Osnabrück and lies between Diepholz and Bohmte, Bersenbrück and Rahden. The nature park covers an area of almost 500 square kilometres and is bisected from north to south by the Weser-Ems watershed.

Diepholz Air Base

Diepholz Air Base is a German Air Force military air base, located 3.3 km southwest of Diepholz in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is a joint-use civil-military faciity, also being a civil airport. During 1968-1996, a temporary motor racing circuit was operated on the airfield.

Diepholz Airfield Circuit

The Diepholz Airfield Circuit was an auto racing circuit in the south-west of the town of Diepholz, Germany. It was a temporary circuit on a military airfield, which is still in use by the German military today. The full length of the runway was used as part of the circuit with a fast double chicane and the start/finish straight which included a temporary pit lane going down one side of the runway. There were no pit garages or permanent racing related buildings on site.
