Tuffi (*1946 in India, † 1989 in Paris, France) was a female circus elephant that became famous in Germany in 1950 when she jumped from the suspended monorail in Wuppertal into the river below. Its full name is "Electric Elevated Railway Installation (Suspension Railway), Eugen Langen System" (Anlage einer elektrischen Hochbahn, System Eugen Langen). It is the oldest electric elevated railway with hanging cars in the world and is a unique system.

Barmen
Barmen is a former industrial metropolis of the region of Bergisches Land, Germany, which merged with four other towns in 1929 with the city of Wuppertal, North Rhine-Westphalia. Barmen was the birthplace of Friedrich Engels and together with the neighbouring town of Elberfeld founded the first electric suspended monorail tramway system, the Schwebebahn floating tram.
