Longinus Tower

The Longinus Tower (Longinusturm) is a 32-metre high observation tower located in Nottuln, Germany. It was erected by the Baumberge Club between 1897 and 1901 on the summit of the 182.61 metre high Westerberg hill. The Longinus Tower is made of calcareous limestone. At the beginning of the 1950s, the Longinus Tower was adapted to become a telecommunication tower with an observation deck and antenna systems that rather spoilt its appearance architecturally.

Münster (region)

Münster is one of the five Regierungsbezirks of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, located in the north of the state, and named after the capital city of Münster. It includes the area which in medieval times was known as the Dreingau. Regierungsbezirk Münster mostly covers rural lands of the Münsterland which is famous for its castles, e.g. Castle Nordkirchen and Castle Ahaus. The region offers more the 100 castles, all linked up by the bike path 100 Schlösser Route.
