Holzdorf Air Base

Holzdorf Air Base is a military airfield operated by the German Air Force (Luftwaffe). It is located 1.8 nautical miles east of Holzdorf, a subdivision of the municipality of Jessen in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. It is also known as Schönewalde/Holzdorf Air Base, as most of the base is situated east of the Saxony-Anhalt/Brandenburg border, in the city of Schönewalde. The air base is home to the air forces's Helicopter Wing 64 and Support Squadron 1 of the German Army Aviation Corps.

Annaburg-Prettin

Annaburg-Prettin was a Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("administrative community") in the district of Wittenberg, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was situated on the right bank of the Elbe, southeast of Wittenberg. The seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft was in Annaburg. It was disbanded in January 2011.

The Battle of Dennewitz (German: Schlacht von Dennewitz) took place on 6 September 1813 between the forces of the First French Empire and an army of Prussians and Russians of the Sixth Coalition. It occurred in Dennewitz, a village of Germany, in the Prussian province of Brandenburg, near Jüterbog, 40 km. S.W. from Berlin.

Deutschlandsender Herzberg/Elster

The Deutschlandsender Herzberg/Elster was a 500 kilowatt long-wave transmitter at Herzberg/Elster, which was in service from 1939 to 1945. It used a 337 metre high guyed steel lattice mast of triangular cross section. This was used as a mast radiator and was therefore mounted on a 0.75 metre high steatite insulator. At the top of the mast there was a lens-like structure with a diameter of 25 metres and a height of 4 metres.
