Saalkreis Nord

Saalkreis Nord was a Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("collective municipality") in the Saalekreis district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was situated northwest of Halle (Saale). The seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft was in Wettin. It was disbanded in January 2011. Bach House (Köthen)

For other similarly-named houses, see Bach House (disambiguation). The composer Johann Sebastian Bach lived at two addresses during his stay in Köthen. As one of the properties has been demolished, Bach House normally refers to the house which is still standing and which the composer occupied in the period 1719-23. This property on Wallstraße (Wall Street) was completed in 1719 and Bach is assumed to have been the first tenant.
