Wiesenburg Castle

The Wiesenburg Castle (German: Burg Wiesenburg or Schloss Wiesenburg) is castle located in the Wiesenburg district of Wildenfels, Saxony, on a hill overlooking the eastern shore of the Mulde river. The castle protects the bridge across the Mulde to Schönau and Wildenfels.

Silberstraße (Wilkau-Haßlau)

Silberstraße is a formerly independent parish in the German state of Saxony. Since 1999 it has been part of the borough of Wilkau-Haßlau, in the district of Zwickau. It has around 2,000 inhabitants and lies at an elevation of 340 m above sea level. As well as the old village houses it also has a newly built residential area with modern housing units, large industrial estates with textile firms and agricultural concerns.

Augsburg Eiskanal

The Augsburg Eiskanal is an artificial whitewater river in Augsburg, Germany, constructed as the canoe slalom venue for the 1972 Summer Olympics in nearby Munich. The first artificial whitewater course of its kind, it introduced the sport of canoe slalom (using decked canoes and kayaks) to the Olympic Games. However, because of the expense of building artificial rivers and supplying them with water, canoe slalom was missing from the next four Summer Olympics.

St. Wolfgang's Church, Schneeberg

St. Wolfgang's Church in Schneeberg is one of the largest hall churches of the Late Gothic in Saxon region of Germany. It was built in the early 16th century on parts of a small, earlier building and is an early example of a Reformation church building.
