Elisabethenburg Palace

Elisabethenburg Palace is a Baroque palace located on the northwestern edge of Meiningen in Germany. Until 1918 it was the residence of the Dukes of Saxe-Meiningen. The castle now houses the Meininger Museum as well as the Max Reger archives, the Thuringian State Archives, the Max Reger music school, the Johannes Brahms concert hall, a restaurant, the tower Cafe, and the ceremonial rooms of the Meinigen City Council and Registry Office.

Meiningen Court Theatre

The Meiningen Court Theatre, today Theater Meiningen (Meininger Theater), is a four-division theater in the Thuringian town of Meiningen. The ensemble of the theater offers musical theater (opera, operetta, musicals), drama, concerts and puppet shows. In addition, ballet complements and Youth Theatre, from Eisenach State Theatre produced and performed. Connected to the theater continues to be the Meiningen orchestra.

Meiningen station

Meiningen station is a junction of four railways and with its facilities is one the most important railway station in southern Thuringia, Germany. It consists of two once separate stations, the former Prussian station as a through station on the Werra Railway and the Bavarian station as a terminal station on the Schweinfurt–Meiningen line.

Amtsgericht Meiningen is the District Court of Meiningen and one of 23 district courts in Thuringia, Germany. It has 23 judges and 40 employees in mid-service, 19 employees in the elevated service and seven bailiffs. The district court of Meiningen was the first founded in October 1879 as one of 16 district courts in the Duchy of Saxe-Meiningen. Until 1945 it was located in the building of the district court in Meiningen in Bismarckstraße 14 (now Neu-Ulmer-Straße).
